Response to Bazerman
I agree with the Bazerman article in that scientists can't just do experiments to find out about the universe. A lot of what is learned is "on the job." A scientist may solve a major problem in an experiment doing something completely different. Genius comes unexpectedly. It does not discredit anything. There is no shame in learning from the real world.
