The Sensors can tell the velocity, mass and where the particles go once they've been accelerated or once they collide.
Its used in many scientific experiments of electron behavior.
LHC- prove the existance of the particle that makes up mass. The result of the existance of the particle will be detected by the sensor.

Woooow. that sounds interesting and beyond my grasp. I'd like to read that when your done with it, it seems interesting but complex. Just make sure to give details into how it works, why we use it and how it was first thought up of using making this machine for its use.
that sounds like a really complex and interesting topic. Good time to pick that topic though, what with all the excitement about that LHC. I noticed you mentioned that in your interview. Has that machine actually made any discoveries about subatomic particles already, or is it just projected to make some groundbreaking discovery in the near future?
Sounds like a pretty complicated topic, the issue is very loaded and will have TONS of news on the issue. I'd like to read this to hear more info about the machine, i still dont understand it from what ive heard so far... Obviously details of how it works and what is planned to come out of it are essential for the information given
